GOOGLE DOCS: NHS Cabinet proudly presents the official takeoff of NHS' Google Docs file sharing! We will not be using mediafire anymore due to several complaints about it. Besides, Google docs makes everyone's life easier!
It's simple! Just go to http://tinyurl.com/sghsnhsdocs and click on which document you would like to view. Google docs also allows cabinet members to edit any document on it in real time, which saves the time of uploading and deleting files. Google Docs contain ALL NHS-related material, including hours, verification sheet, meeting agenda, etc.
MEETING AGENDA: For those who do not know, NHS' meeting agenda is for those who missed the meetings, but can still stay updated with NHS-related events and announcements. It can be view on Google Docs.
DEDUCTION OF HOURS: Signing up for a service implies commitment to that particular service. Thus, for those who sign up for events and do not show up, consequences will be given. For unlimited services, 0.5 hours will be deducted and, for limited services, 1 hour will be deducted. Please be responsible and give us ample time to contact the next person on the waiting list or find a replacement. A 24-hour notice should be fine, but the sooner you tell us, the better.
SIGNING OUT: Signing out during a service tells the officers when you left service. Make sure you sign out after each service and sign the sheet with your signature. Your signature constitutes that you checked your sign in and sign out times carefully. You may not complain about not getting the full number of hours because you signed the sheet knowingly. Please remember to sign out after every service or your hours for the service may be in jeopardy. Also, remember to sign in and out after every shift, even though you are staying for both shifts.
OUTSIDE HOURS: Outside hours are limited to 10 per semester. If you do over 10 hours, only 10 hours will be counted towards your overall hours count. This will prevent many from double dipping as much. The only exception to this rule is your 1st semester of NHS membership and 2nd semester senior year, where the limit is 5 hours.
